What advice can you give newly engaged couples?
First and foremost, couples deserve to enjoy this special time of finding true love with a partner. When you are ready, begin to envision what type of event setting embodies the essence of your love story and aesthetic. Don’t be shy; start diving into the tougher questions like guest count, time of year and budget. Once you take on those details, you will be able to have a fruitful consultation with a wedding planner.
What are some of your favorite aspects of event and wedding planning?
When we embark on new client relationships, we love getting to know our clients. We like to get started right away with venue search and the vendor deep dive vetting process. We love reviewing and negotiating contracts (which saves our clients money and any future missteps). We particularly excel at building out strong production timelines and event design strategy.
How much do you charge for event and wedding planning services?
Couples spend the majority of their planning process with their planner, who is their go-to, advocate, and confidante. Wedding and event planning investment is approximately 20% of our clients' overall event budget and includes hundreds of hours of planning, event production, vendor management, and multi-day execution. Depending on the nature of the event and our relationship with the clients, we can be flexible and offer flat fees as well.
