Chicagoans can now enjoy the feeling of a leisurely morning meal at a breezy European cafe without ever leaving town following the launch of brunch at Joe’s Imports. Sip on a refreshing mimosa made with Canard-Duchêne Champagne and fresh-squeezed orange juice ($13) or a summer Bellini with a scoop of housemade peach sorbet ($14). But as with dinner at this chic West Loop wine bar, drinks mustn’t overshadow the delicious bites. Signature dishes like fondue Parmesan puffs ($7) are served alongside brunch specials like tarte d’Alsace ($15), made with a toothsome combination of Gruyere, lardon and baby greens. “Joe’s Imports has a very different brunch atmosphere,” says partner and Wine Director Joe Fiely. “It feels like a little Parisian cafe.” And to that, we say, oui. 813 W.
