A work by Dwight White is one of the highlights of the Loop Mural Walk.
WANDER The Chicago Loop Alliance, whose mission is to draw visitors to the city’s thriving central business district, has introduced the Loop Mural Walk—a free program meant to encourage Chicagoans and visitors to enjoy the area’s incredible selection of public art. The self-guided tour exhibits 21 murals on three separate routes that combine for a 2.1-mile journey that winds through alleys and other spaces often forgotten. The walk includes displays from international household names like Kerry James Marshall and Fonte to emerging artists like Ant Ben and Roho Garcia; while the walk includes well-known murals like Eduardo Kobra’s “Tribute to Muddy Waters,” most of them are more obscure works often missed in daily life.
