Style is a state of mind and fashion a means of expression, which is all the more important in our rapidly changing world. We check in with Chicago's sartorial stars for some words of wisdom.
EVE ROGERS, DIRECTOR, GRAFF CHICAGO
The biggest change in my life since I was featured in 2012 is... this summer I celebrated 10 years as director of Graff Chicago!
One of the most amazing things to happen since I became a Woman of Style was... starting the annual Kawasaki Disease Dinner benefiting the Center for Kawasaki Disease at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, which in 10 years has raised over $1 million toward research to discover the cause and has spread national awareness and education about the disease.
My big news is... this year, Graff Chicago has been honored to receive the Corporate Art Award from the Museum of Contemporary Art. I’m delighted to be the Graff ambassador to accept this award.
For me, 2020 has brought... clarity and compassion on so many levels. I have always thought of myself as a compassionate person, but this year has brought that to a whole new level.
This year has taught me... our actions impact others. And to be more patient. I am usually someone who is always on the go. Taking the time to slow down has been a precious gift.
What I’m most passionate about right now is… being healthy, happy and supporting communities in need.
In 2020, style is all about... feeling good about yourself in everything you wear—even sweatpants.
