The Woman’s Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital debuted its first annual summer fundraiser with the nautical-themed “Anchors Aweigh” launch party at the Saddle & Cycle Club. Complete with coastal cocktails and cuisine, the event also featured the musical stylings of yacht rock band Anchors Away.
Drawing over 300 guests, the event was co-chaired by a new generation of board members, including Emily Krall, Emily Sturgess, Annie Hudson and Bridget Tully Vrabel. Board president Sarah Schrup addressed the A-list attendees, emphasizing the board’s mission to support women’s health in all the reproductive stages of their lives.
The event raised $230,000 for comprehensive women’s health and reproductive care through auction items, including fine jewelry by Barbara Parker and a two-night stay at Sand Valley Golf Resort. Proceeds from the event will support the board’s funding of cutting-edge research and premier patient care initiatives at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
