THE PARTY The Women’s Board of the Chicago Zoological Society raised more than $1.3 million at Brookfield Zoo’s 31st annual Whirl fundraiser. THE SCENE More than 700 guests mingled with an exotic crowd, namely a flamingo, bald eagle, fennec fox, penguin, llama and cheetah, before indulging in a three-course dinner catered by Food For Thought. While a live auction brought out competitive instincts, other guests flooded the Grand Tent’s tiger-themed dance floor, courtesy of The Flower Firm, to groove to live music by Maggie Speaks.
